This page states, in plain terms, how Tierlyn earns money and how that money does or does not affect our content. Read it with our editorial policy page.

Some placements on Tierlyn are sponsored. A sponsored placement is labelled "Sponsored" where it appears. A sponsor pays for visibility, not for a rank, a recommendation, or a change to our conclusions. Editorial order is set by the editorial team using the criteria on our scoring page. Paid status never decides rank.

A sponsored box may sit near a ranked list. It is not part of the ranked list, even when the same product also appears in that list. If you are unsure whether a box is sponsored, treat the label as the answer: if it says "Sponsored", it was paid for; if it does not, it was not.

Some links on Tierlyn may be affiliate links. If you buy through an affiliate link, Tierlyn may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Where an article contains affiliate links, the article states that fact near the top of the page. Affiliate links, where used, are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code. An affiliate commission never changes a rank, a pick, or a con. If a product pays a commission and another does not, that fact alone does not move either product up or down a list.

What we do not do

We do not accept payment to remove a limitation, hide a missing feature, or present a researched comparison as our own product test. We do not accept payment for a favourable review. We do not sell editorial ranks. Vendors cannot pay to have a competitor removed from a list.

Prices in our articles come from the vendor's own pricing page, with a check date. If a price is not published, we write "Quote only" and link to the vendor's pricing or contact page. A link to a vendor site is a source link and a route to check the current price. It is not an endorsement of every product that vendor sells.

Questions about a placement

If you think a label is missing, unclear, or wrong, contact us and name the page and the placement. We will check it and correct the label if needed. Transparency about money is part of our duty to readers who must defend a purchase to an auditor, a partner, or a client.
