Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 Nov 2026. This policy covers tierlyn.com.

What we collect

We collect basic, cookieless traffic statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics. That service counts visits and page views without setting a tracking cookie for advertising and without building a profile of you across other sites. We do not use ad trackers. We do not run an account system, so we do not collect account names, passwords, or profile data from readers.

When you email us, we receive the address you send from and the content of your message. We use that message only to answer you, check a correction, or handle a vendor or sponsored inquiry. We do not sell reader email addresses, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you sent a correction.

Cookies

Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless for the statistics we use. That means our traffic counts do not rely on a cookie stored in your browser for tracking. Other parts of the web may still set cookies for basic delivery and security, such as a cookie that helps Cloudflare serve the page safely. We do not set cookies for advertising, and we do not use a cookie to follow you to other sites.

If your browser blocks cookies, you can still read Tierlyn. No article is locked behind a cookie consent or an account login.

Our articles link to vendor pricing pages, documentation, and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies and cookie practices. A click to a vendor site is governed by that vendor's policy, not by this page. Check the vendor's policy before you enter personal data on a vendor form.

Data retention and contact

Traffic statistics are kept only in aggregate form for as long as Cloudflare Web Analytics retains them for this site. Email messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the correction, inquiry, or question, and then deleted or archived in line with our editorial records. If you want a message you sent us deleted, contact us at the address below and name the date and subject of the message, so we can find it.

Changes

If we change how we collect traffic data, add an account system, or start using a tracker, we will update this page and change the date above before the new practice starts. The version dated 2 Nov 2026 describes a cookieless analytics setup, no ad trackers, and no account system.
